Dear TPGOLF Student,
With our 2020-21 Winter Golf season just around the corner I’m both proud and excited to announce the addition of our new Crown Colony Director of Instruction, Mr. Tom Patri.
Tom is a 40 year veteran of the teaching and coaching business with over 55,000 lesson hours given. Tom has taught and coached at ever skill level on the spectrum and enjoys only one thing watching a student embrace the journey called improvement.
Tom’s pedigree is vast and has taught at some of the country’s most prestigious venues. Tom spent 11 years as Director of Instruction at Westchester CC in Rye, NY during which time Westchester hosted the Buick Classic on the PGA Tour. Tom also spent 9 years as Director of Instruction at Friars Head on eastern Long Island. Friars Head is currently ranked on various lists as one of the top 25 courses in the world.
Tom has been listed on various Top 100 Teachers lists as well as voted on several occasions as a PGA Section Teacher of the Year. * See Tom’s bio highlights below. Tom was the 1981 NCAA ll National Individual Champion and also lead his team to a 35 shot NCAA ll National Team Championship!
As a young junior golfer Tom won the Metropolitan (NY) Junior Championship which is the oldest junior championship in the country. Tom won 17 other times as a junior and had 6 other college victories.
I’m pleased to have Tom join the Crown Colony family and when I asked him if there was an early message he would like to share with the Crown Colony membership he said, “ often when folks read my bio they are either intimidated of feel I may be to advanced for their skill set, I want every Crown Colony Member to fully understand that couldn’t be further from the truth”! “All I ask any student at any skill level to bring to my lesson tee is a love of this great game and a passion to improve”! “I’ll provide the rest”!

TPGOLF Non-Member Lesson Policies @ Crown Colony
- Lessons may be booked only by contacting Tom Patri directly via email at tpatri@mindspring.com
- Non Member Lessons may be bumped by a Crown Colony Member outside 48 hrs. You will be notified and promptly rescheduled.
- All Lesson Packages must be completed in the same season. Packages will NOT be carried over to the next season.
- All fees must be paid at the time of the lesson. Packages are also to be paid in full at the first lesson. Payment can be made by cash, check , Venmo or PayPal.
- All lesson, lesson packages, and golf school payments are final.
- You may arrive 30 minutes before a lesson to warm up. Practice after a lesson is unfortunately not permitted.
- Playing Lessons are given at 3pm or later and a $26 cart fee is required.
- A round of golf at Crown Colony can be arranged through TP based on availability. The guest fee is $105 in season.Fees –
