Examine your hands and the club head at the finish.

• If  the clubhead finishes above your hands, I would term that a “hold” finish.
  Okay if you desire to not release the club.

• If you finish with the clubhead below your hands, I would term that a “released” finish.
  This will most likely result in a more powerful ball flight.
