THE FRONT NINE (Part 3, Conclusion)
Front Nine_7-9

NO. 7:  542 YARDS, PAR 5
This hole will yield a few low numbers. The fairway bunkers can be carried by many in the field. The second shot is to a large putting green with run to spare. Yes, there are hazards and bunkers along the journey, but there is plenty of run for players of this skill level. When this hole plays downwind, you might want to watch a few groups come through here. Mr. Eagle will make more than one appearance.

NO. 8:  407 YARDS, PAR 4
This medium-to-shortish hole has some serious character. One of my favorite holes at the Quarry. Depending on the wind direction, you will see everything from a driver to a hybrid hit off this tee. Hazards right and left get the players’ attention. The fairway bunkers pinch the landing area perfectly for those getting a little over-zealous. The green is slightly elevated, and guarded perfectly by an array of bunkers and water. Over the back is no fun either. The putting surface has tons of movement.

NO. 9:  382 YARDS, PAR 4
This hole will yield birdies like the Beatles spun hits. Short, and although there are hazards right and left, there is plenty of room to play. The players for the most part will have a short wedge in. Put a wedge in these guys’ hands and ring the bell.
