Dear Friends of TPGOLF –

Please take a moment to read the below introduction to a golf society that I highly endorse.

I endorse it first and foremost because my good buddy Steve Scott is the man steering the ship. Many of you might remember Steve as the guy who took Tiger Woods (yes THE Tiger Woods) to the absolute brink in the greatest final match in US Amateur history.

Both Steve’s bio as well as information about the Silver Club Golfing Society are below. If you’d like to play some of the greatest tracks on the planet and at the same time hang with a world-class player this might just be something you want to take a very serious look at.

Steve Scott is a class act PERIOD!

For many tournament caliber golfers, competition means more than just playing the game; it is a way of life. The rush of adrenalin felt when you step onto the first tee of an event is euphoric and incredible to experience every time. To this end, I am excited to announce the founding of the Silver Club Golfing Society (SCGS), its name derived from the very first golf competition on record in Edinburgh, Scotland, dating back to 1744, when the Company of Gentlemen Golfers first played for the Silver Club. Click here for SCGS’s FAQ (https://silverclubgolfingsociety.com/FAQ/)

“There is golf, and then there is tournament golf.”
– Bobby Jones

The SCGS was conceived to create a golfing community where players have the opportunity to hone their tournament skills at noteworthy and challenging venues.  The SCGS will also create opportunities for our members to share in the camaraderie that makes the game fun. Our commitment is to build an exceptional slate of events with an authentic tournament experiences that celebrate the game and its traditions.

We will conduct four multi-day events in 2019 as well as a number of single day tournaments in large metro areas. Our venues this year include Barton Creek, The Inverness Club, Quaker Ridge, Conway Farms and Pasatiempo. There will be a year-long points list with our top players being eligible to compete in our Silver Club Championship in December at Champions Retreat just outside of Augusta, GA.

I am very proud to be leading the Silver Club Golfing Society’s event schedule. I was fortunate enough to have achieved #1 amateur golfer in the world status. With extensive competitive experience from my U.S. Amateur and Walker Cup days and being able to compete in PGA Tour events now like the 2019 Wyndham Championship and Wells Fargo Championship, I have my finger on the pulse pertaining to the details tournament players want and need in the competitive arena.

If you are under the maximum handicap index of 7.9 and would like to be considered for SCGS membership, please fill out the SCGS Member Candidate Information Statement with this web form (https://silverclubgolfingsociety.com/mcisnew).

I am very excited about this new venture and look forward to meeting you very soon.

Sincerely,
Steve Scott, PGA
