A renowned Dutch violinist, conductor and composer, and his orchestra did a tribute to Frank Sinatra with My Way on his Stradivarius violin at Radio City Music Hall New York .

Hope you enjoy this lovely and moving piece of music………… It occurred to me will viewing this amazing talent that the amount of work and countless hours of study and practice he must have endured was enormous to bring his wonderful talents to this level. It also occurred to me that while he played this wonderful tribute to Sinatra and the black and white film of the immigrants making their passage through New York Harbor on their way to Ellis Island played how much things have changed and more than likely need to further change…..

 Then we welcomed these peoples from many different cultures to our shores with open arms. We invited them to take a chance on a new beginning. We challenged them to improve themselves when in many cases their own lands didn’t offer them the same possibility. As a nation we didn’t question their nationality, their religious beliefs, their color.

 Today we have border patrols. We have Homeland Security . We have scanners in airports. We have body X-Rays in airports. We get nervous when people who look like they are from certain cultures sit next to us on planes or trains. We have un-easy thoughts driving across long bridges or passing through tunnels on certain holidays. We think twice about attending large scale events such as concerts, or ball games.

 Where has the innocence displayed is this beautiful video by this wonderful artist gone ?? This man is from Holland. Are there amazing talents like him in China , North Korea, Iran ?? Will we never know those talents because those governments have only hatred on the agenda’s ?? It is actually very sad that as a human race we have gotten to this point. I often wonder what the great thinkers of our past would think today about our concerns at our borders. Washington, Adams, Franklin…..How about Mr. Lincoln ??

 The children of this generation will never know the open society we once knew. Never Wisk through an airport without security lines. I just wanted to put on paper these random thoughts…
