Tom Patri_Top 100 Golf Magazine Teacher in America_2015-3Most amateurs come to their professionals with golfs common cold: The Slice. The first thing you need to do to change any condition is understand it. The two principal causes of the common slice is improper path and face conditions. The path is often out to in with an open clubface. So let’s try this drill. Set up feeling as if your stance is extremely closed. Then make a few practice swings really feeling a huge amount of forearm rotation where your right forearm passes over your left forearm pre-impact. Do this many times feeling the cross-over of the forearms from a closed stance to feel the clubface turning over from a different path (due to the stance). You will be on your way to curing your slice.
