Most golfers never learn to control their golfball because they never fully understand or feel where their clubface is during the swing or what it does. You will, I am sure, agree that control of the clubface is vital to ball control. I have my students work with an impact bag, a very simple teaching aid–you can substitute pillows or a large bean bag. Simply make some 50% speed swings contacting the impact bag and see where your clubface is.
Is it open, square, or closed? Where would you like it to be? Practice feeling and seeing the clubface impact position you would like!
