A golfer’s guide to the course (Part 4)

NO. 10: 422 YARDS, PAR 4
A sneaky hole. Bunkers right and left and staggered in such a way that the fairway plays smaller than it first appears. The pond that begins left of the fairway in the driving area is a foe that invites the player’s ball from a fairway that slopes toward it. The green slopes away and left; again toward the pond left.
It calls for your ball to come visit it. The green also plays very firm. You’ll see some second shots do some funny things on this surface. Can be a tough 4 in the wrong wind condition.
NO. 11: 423 YARDS, PAR 4
A straight-away hole that can lull you to sleep. Bunkers left and right in driving area (right bunker deep and actually in fairway). Long players will blow it past bunkers. Medium-length guys will have to fit the drive in space provided. Elevated green guarded by two deep bunkers front left. Back left pin a goody.
NO. 12: 532 YARDS, PAR 5
Shortish hole with water left off tee, and right and long if you ‘re going for it in two. This hole will see the bombers hitting some medium to possibly short irons into a smallish green. Water right and over and pot bunkers left make you think. That being said, they will attack this hole. There will be some big smiles and long faces leaving this hole.
