PART III: Completion

Continued from blog entry – “The Symmetrical Golf Swing/Motion . . . PART II”

3. Forward Swing

  1. First as we approach impact there is what I refer to as the moment of extension, that is when the arms are extended downward from the should joints directly at the impact point. Also, simultaneously the legs are extending upward directly at the swing center (belt buckle) creating total extension.
    .
  2. In the next segment of the forward swing past impact, the symmetric cycle is completed. The left shoulder as well as the left hip turn behind the player on to the left and the right arm extends and the left arm folds at the elbow joint. Just as the left knee released to the right in the backswing, now the right knee releases to the left in the the forward swing allowing the completion of both rotations as well as weight distribution transfer.
